Another week is almost past and the holidays are just around the corner. The challenge for this week is having extra bodies around the house for lunch and I want to stay away from the frozen pizza and Ramen Noodle trap if I can. We’ll be doing enough junky eating as it is, I’d like to keep to the healthy trend.
So, with out further ado, here’s what’s on Momma T’s table this week:
Monday – Sandwiches
Tuesday – Cheese and Relish Tray
Wednesday – Bacon, Egg and Cheese Quesadillas
Thursday – Taco Soup and Grilled Cheese
Friday – Peanut Butter, Apple and Bacon Sandwich
Wednesday – Turkey Dinner Left Over Casserole
Thursday – Braised Chicken, Wild Rice Pilaf and Roasted Vegetables
Friday – OUT
Saturday – Skillet Glazed Pork Chops, Baked Potatoes, Roasted Cauliflower
Sunday – Pork Tenderloin, Potatoes and Green Beans Salad
Monday – Our New Years Tradition is to do celebrate all of our favorite things and that includes foods. Everyone selects at least one favorite and we make a buffet out of it. We play games, we read, we watch our favorite movies and we do our favorite things. We all used to then camp out in the living room but we’ve all gotten too big and too old for that. 🙂 On New Years day we start a jigsaw puzzle together. OK I usually end up being the only one to work on it but it’s tradition and it’s something I love!
This years buffet will consist of:
Shrimp – the Boy’s favorite
Hawaiian Roll Ham Sammies – Hub’s favorite
Chex Mix – the Girl’s favorite
Baked Ravioli – A favorite of my oldest son
Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps – A Family Favorite
I may or may not be barbequing a rack of ribs too. It all depends on if someone fixes the broken weld on my new grill. (Hint, hint)
Tuesday: Repent and order out Chinese. 🙂
There you have it. Meals to take you into the New Year! May yours be blessed and bright!
