The weekend and weather brought some changes to our meal plan toward the end of the week so some dishes from last week have been moved to this week. Friday the girl went to an Anime convention with friends and the boy went out to the movies with his girl so the husband and I ate out. Yesterday was so cold here that we decided to stay in and have a delicious family favorite, of chili served over rice and tortilla chips and topped with cheese. We call it Chili, Rice, Chips and Cheese (clever huh?)
Having the chili simmering away on the stove all afternoon while we snuggled down in our blankets and watched movies was the epitome of hominess. A perfect way to spend a cold Saturday.
So, with some repeats from last week, here’s what’s on Momma T’s Table this week:
Monday – Salad with Sunflower Seeds and Hummus Dressing
Tuesday – Open-faced Tomato and Tuna Sandwiches
Wednesday – I will be working on this day so I plan to go to Mika’s and do some more research on their Grilled Apple and Goat Cheese Sandwich!
Thursday – Grilled Tomato and Goat Cheese Quesidilla
Friday – Turkey and Hummus Wrap
Monday – Spaghetti, Salad and Home Baked Bread
Tuesday – Oven Roasted Citrus Chicken, Roasted Carrots and Mashed Potatoes
Wednesday – Sausage, Kraut and Mashed Potatoes
Thursday – Tacos
Friday – Morton’s Two Fisted Bacon Cheese Burger, Fries, Salad
Saturday – Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes with White Gravy and Corn
Sunday – Chicken Piccata and Quinoa with Corn and Scallions
Best of all, I’d stocked up enough on groceries over the holidays that I do not have to go shopping for anything this week! Yea me!
