What’s For Dinner Wednesday

Call it the reflection of a busy week, or just a feeble mind, but I wrote the post, but forgot to click the “publish” button. Let’s all pretend…just for a moment…that it really is Wednesday and I am not that forgetful. 🙂 I guess it’s a good thing I had an actual Thread it Up Thursday to post or I might not have noticed by blunder. Enjoy.

We’ve been busy with all sorts of things around the table. Preparation for Thanksgiving, packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a college visit for both The Boy and The Girl and taking down our massive Halloween display. 😦

For me, this removal of the display is a sad one. I so enjoy the scene and the characters. I enjoy coming together as a family to put it up and tweak it and build new pieces, but all things come to an end. But this year I’m trying to think of it as clearing the pallet for something even more wonderful and amazing.

Yeah, we have a bad case of Halloween-itis. Case in point, we found this year that it won’t all fit in the basement anymore. Well, not if we hope to be able to use our basement for anything else, anyway. So, we’ve resorted to renting a 10×10 storage facility and we’ve taken only two truckloads over so far.

Oh well, I guess we will own our illness and proudly carry one. Perhaps once we get it all moved over we will have more room in the basement to expand on our Candyland Christmas decorations!

Even sickos like us got to eat so without further ado…here’s what’s on Momma T’s Table for the coming week.

BREAKFASTS

Sunday – Eggs, Bacon & Potatoes

Monday – Caitlin’s Fruity Oaty Bowl of Goodness

DINNERS:

Sunday – Turkey Breast, Mashed Potatoes and Brussels’s Sprouts (Turkey before Thanksgiving? You bet! Going to use the drippings to make gravy for Thursday. Since we fry our turkey, we don’t get the drippings and have to eat jar gravy. This will be much better!)

Monday – Pork Tenderloin, Cous-cous with Mushrooms and a Goat-Cheese Babka

Tuesday – Cast Iron Pizza

Wednesday – Penne Ragu

Thursday – I’m bringing the turkey, gravy, dressing and that amazing Cranberry Christmas Cake that is circulating Pinterest again. It’s SO yummy.

Friday – I’m thinking the C-Note Pub.

Saturday – Turkey Sliders, Skillet Fries and Skillet Corn

I wish you all a very happy, warm Thanksgiving wherever you spend it. May your heart be blessed.
